Blogtrail hickup
This morning I noticed a little hick-up in my blogtrail when I was posting some presentation from Trolltech. As with the Google Bookmarks bookmarklet it appears that the bookmarklet for Google Notes is not able to post (or at least has a problem with) PDFs. This, I guess, has something to do with the fact that both try to attach a form of to the DOM of the page you’re viewing. For PDF this fails because of obvious reasons.
So for the Google bookmarks bookmarklet I have always been able to resolve this issue by filling out the required information by hand. With notes this seems impossible. Notes retrieve the page’s url from the document and don’t allow it to be changed. Not even after the note has been posted and shared. So in this case only a delete and add new note can help out in some way. Pity if you ask me. Of course it remains to be a very interesting and impressive manner to filter and share information with others it does seem like a chance to improve the bookmarklet system.
